2024 Soundtrack release!

Over the course of 2024, I have made lots of new tracks for my games, as I usually do. Today, I thought I'd compile all of the songs I've made in 2024 and release it to YouTube!

A majority of it is The Adventures of Ryan music, but it does contain a few tracks from THB: The Trials of Torture (an unreleased project), Gold Defenders, and Flappy's Marathon (the silly april fools joke).

Just another thing to mention, all TAOR tracks were made in Bosca Ceoil! Well, besides the intense variants.

A list of all the tracks (+descriptions!)

  • Cave/Ocean Battle, while originally meant for, yknow, caves and oceans, is really just 'battle theme #2' if you will, an alternate battle theme. Silly fun action battle themes are the best.
  • Cosmic Battle Theme was actually originally intended for the White Forest as well, but I ended up giving  it a unique theme to suit its unique mood. Either way, still a fun battle theme.
  • A lightly eerie mood suits Snare's Lair.
  • I opted for a unique, more chiptuney style for Vs. The Snare, because why not? The Snare is a miniboss in Chapter #1, but minibosses still get their own unique themes!
  • Through the Cat Forest is quite charming! I don't have much to say.
  • Synth Beach is technically not unique as everything in Bosca Ceoil is synthesized, but Synth Beach uses instruments like Synth PSG, so it's all synth.
  • Enter Space!!! was originally intended to be used as Chapter 5's main theme, but fell out of favor because it doesn't exactly match the tone of Chapter 5. But, it's suitable for cutscenes!
  • Beaconaryside Battle is one of my personal favorites. It actually contains a very obscure leitmotif that originates from a personal Minecraft server of mine.
  • The White Forest was originally a The Hourly Blockade song, but with some light adjustments was fitted for The Adventures of Ryan.
  • Disillumination is for another area in the White Forest, still ethereal all the same.
  • White Forest Battle is actually a remix of Cave/Ocean Battle, but it is quite different in tone!
  • In the Fuzzland Desert, there is only a battle theme and no main overworld theme, as you'll be in battle 99% of the time you're in the Fuzzland Desert.
  • For the Intense Fuzzland Desert theme, it was actually me originally experimenting with different music softwares until I made something I liked. I then wanted to implement it into the actual game. The current implementation is that, the more your team HP lowers, the more the song transitions into this intense variant.
  • The Reckoning of Age is the final boss theme. The name is derived from the phrase "coming of age", but reckoning instead.
  • The Reckoning of Age (intense) just follows in the footsteps of Intense Fuzzland Desert theme.
  • Throughout the game, there'll be various bonus dungeons with each chapter's dungeons having their own unique theme. Light Mischief is a simple lightly silly dungeon theme.
  • Gatos Ninjas literally just means "Ninja Cats" in Spanish.
  • Thalassophobia is a fear of the deep ocean.
  • Sky High Action is another personal favorite of mine. It's just whimsical!
  • The Debugger is the dungeon theme for Chapter 6. If the previous one was for Chapter 4, where is the Chapter 5 dungeon theme you may ask? Well you see, I had originally composed the full thing, but when I started writing the Chapter 6 dungeon theme, I accidentally overrided all of the Chapter 5 dungeon theme. Whoops!
  • Impatience, yet another personal favorite of mine. It feels just right for a late-game optional dungeon, combined with its themes of boredom and, well, impatience, makes it quite a compelling track.
  • Vehemence has probably the most drums I've ever put in a song.  If you thought the Fuzzland Desert was bad enough, Vehemence takes it to another level. Was originally going to be named 激怒 (japanese for 'rage'), may still name it that in-game.
  • DEEP VEHEMENCE is just furthering the intensity.
  • The Game Over theme was originally made in 2021, but I made light adjustments in 2024.
  • New Game+ Battle theme is once again a personal favorite of mine. For most of New Game+, the tracks are in 3/4 time instead of 4/4 time, and this is no exception.
  • I liked New Game+ Battle so much I made an intense variant of it! The whole concept around "intense variants" of battle themes is kinda meant to be unique though, so I opted not to change the original song too much in this remix.
  • In New Game+, the chapters have entirely unique themes. Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 are included here for now.
  • The Craving was originally a song for a trailer for a Minecraft data pack which was an expansion of the various Minecraft foods. It's now remixed in Bosca Ceoil for use in The Adventures of Ryan minigames.
  • Pumpkin Rush is for halloween-themed minigames, and was originally composed in October but released in December!

That was all the The Adventures of Ryan tracks, now here's the other game tracks!

  • Gold Defenders - Dark Level takes roughly the same instruments from the main theme. And much like the main theme remixing Underground Roost from InfiniWorld, this theme remixes Biome 2 Night from InfiniWorld.
  • Speaking of Underground Roost, Gold Defenders - Bonus Room uses the same melody and instruments as Underground Roost, but boosts the tempo!
  • Flappy's Marathon is meant to sound slightly annoying, for the silly joke game.
  • Mayhem, on the other hand, leans more into ethereal surrealism. For a joke. Also a personal favorite of mine. (I have a lot of personal favorites.)
  • THB: The Trials of Torture is an upcoming spinoff of The Hourly Blockade. It's actually a remix of the main theme, but very cool sounding.
  • Demolition Site is the first level of THBTTOT. Fun fact, the THBTTOT soundtrack uses primarily Microsoft Windows soundfont!
