'Pippin to Picnics!' Devlog #2 | Devtober

Hello. It has been awhile since I last posted. I planned to the next day, but stuff happened and I haven't had an opportunity to do anything.  Hence why I haven't posted. I said I would spend the first week doing art and planning, which did not happen. But I don't plan to abandon this. I want to finish something. So I finished a very daunting task...

Tileset

This took awhile and I'll admit I didn't do it perfect. Just 'good enough'. If I spent too much time, I never would have gotten it done. In fact, I barely finished. That doesn't mean it looks bad. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Sorry about the second image looking blurry. I didn't export it with the correct scaling. I'll fix it tomorrow. (fixed)

There are more tiles, where it's like floating platforms. I just don't have an image. You'll probably see them when I make the levels. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. And yes, Pip will walk up diagonally like that. I don't want to make him diagonal when he goes up or whatever. Too much work and I just want a basic functioning game by the end of the month. Maybe I will when I finish. The picnic blanket will be the goal/endpoint. I don't know why Pip is walking away from the blanket, I mean, I did add the blanket after I added Pip. Anyways,  I also added the picnic basket on his back. Cause, well, he has to have it somewhere. Thankfully, adding it wasn't as hard and I thought It would be. He already had a space on his back fitting the basket just perfectly. I'm not super happy with the clouds. They're okay. I just don't like how blocky they are, but I can fix them when I, again, have the game 'done'.

Tomorrow, I'll make the title,  buttons, UI and everything like that.

Comment if you have any thoughts and/or advice. I'd love to hear it! Thank you for reading, and have a nice day (or night)!
