A Big First Step (TTRPG System Announcement!)

One of the reasons I fell in love with TTRPG's is because they offer so many unique experiences, as long we're willing to give it a shot. We can be ferocious warriors on an ancient battlefield, or a completely different species, exploring the stars. You're only held back by your imagination.

And so, shortly after discovering them at a young age, I always had hoped that I would be able to create my own one day. Because the imagination doesn't start with making a character, it starts with the world you're placing that character in, as well as how the story is told. And so, I've been letting my imagination run wild for a long time.

The issue I always faced was managing to complete something. Having to deal with ADHD has made that a chore for many, many years. But now, somehow, I've gotten closer than I have ever been before in my entire life. I'm nearly ready for alpha playtesting of not one, not two, but three different systems of widely varying styles and genres.

Fracture: Inspired by the Life is Strange series, this system will let players assume the role of unsuspecting characters, who discover that they have incredible abilities at their disposal. But they need to be careful, as overuse of one's power not only leads to exhaustion, but also increases the strain on reality, which can lead to it fracturing. And there's no telling what may happen when it finally breaks.

Saga Finale: Intended to bring the feel of old school, tactical JRPGs to the tabletop, this system brings with it fast-paced combat, a class system with skill trees to pick from for character customization, and an innovative three tier defense system, which works well with the dynamically progressing dice mechanic. With numerous different species to pick from, you're sure to create something fun and exciting to explore any world you may encounter with.

Cy-Chopathy: Bringing a blend of futuristic aspects of games like Cyberpunk, as well as dark noir and psychological themes from anime like Ghost in The Shell, Big-O, and Perfect Blue, the game is set in a world where technology leads humanity, while discontent and even violence is beginning to break out over discussions about Android rights. Using a unique skill system, this game allows you to take the role of one of the denizens of this chaotic world. From seedy cons from the city's underbelly, to clever detectives investigating crime scenes, mystery and suspense await you in this world where not everything is as it seems.

These systems are most definitely on their way to being ready for playtesting, but there's still a lot left to do. Some of it is just polishing the rules, where others still need a few central pieces to be put in place. Regardless, I thought it was time to at least share what I currently have.

The goal is to have at least one of these systems ready for playtesting by the 15th. However, this can always be set back by things popping up around home that need my attention, or if I get stuck in a depressive rut (yet another thing that has held me back).

So, be sure to follow for updates if any of these catch your eye. And if not, maybe give the store page a share. It would be really helpful if you did and who knows? Maybe someone you know might be interested.

That's all for now! I'll try to keep you updated on my progress, and I'll see you at the finish line!
