Week 4 Make Up Blog

This week I had very little time to do what I wanted to get done due to work schedule issues.
However, Me and Velma did manage to import a library that would make the implementation of the tilemap much easier, and I have been tinkering with it to figure out how it works, and how we will end up using it.

Upon initial glance this library was exactly what we needed, but once I started using it and trying to create the tilemap renderer, I realized that the object layer was not supported what-so-ever by the Android-TMX-Loader library.

Since then we have been looking at other options such as rebuilding the app using the libGDX library. The thing about using libGDX is that pretty much every call to canvas would be unusable and we would need to correct it to use the libGDX library that way everything would work seamlessly.

I have been trying to figure out how I could import it and see about testing and using it in a new branch, but I had a lot of work that needed to get done this week, and was out of town for majority of the work week, so I was arriving home late and not having a ton of time to actually try new things, but rather had to sit down and research whenever I could.

I plan to use my off time this weekend to really get caught up and move on to creating the creature dex, and figuring out how to implement that as well.
