I'm here to share my progress for the week!! There's a lot of new stuff to show, even though my checklist says I've still got practically nothing done!!!
I thought it would be cool to do a fancy thing for the devlog this time so several days ago I played my game and recorded me playing my game!! Now you can see what I see every single afternoon!!!
As you can see there's a new title! Which brings me to my next thgingymehabobbr.....
So there was this one person who told me a bunch of things and THEN I did those things!!! Now I like the title screen/main menu/cover art a lot more ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I also have the composition a decent way for when it gets put as the itch cover art and then gets 120% of the picture cropped off
(Oh btw I was planning on making the big square in the middle a blanket, thought that'd be cute)
I decided that IT WAS TIME they got official designs (since it'd be a little goofy if they were all naked)

I also drew his alternate pose but it's a lot simpler than I usually do
50% because I was lazy and 50% because I'm making the compromises I need to make for the game to get done

The filenames for his portraits get kinda crazy
A lot of what I got done this week was drawing Elio! He's so close to being done...!
I plan on starting Calum, next! Maybe I'll get to show pictures of the both of them next week...
Because it'd be weird if I didn't after doing so for the past several weeks

I had so much content to share in this devlog... but it still feels like I did so little! It's really weird.
I've spent so many hours drawing, wrote hundreds of words and plugged them all into the game... but seeing the dozens of things I HAVEN'T done makes it so hard to appreciate my progress...
I hope it feels like I got a lot done to you! I put in extra effort this week... and I feel like that shows, at the very least!
SuNoFes is about halfway over... and I intend to have an epic game by the end of it!

The boys are looking nice! Calum in particular is kawaii sugoi desu :3 I really like how the demo looks so far, Elio's really cute!! Maybe the dialogue color should be adjusted a little so it doesn't blend in to the background as much, or make the textbox transparency be a little more opaque so we could see the text easily? I'm really happy you took my suggestions and put it in the composition :3 I can't wait to play it once it's fully finished!

Indeed, I'm not very fond of the way the text and texbox colors mesh right now, so I'm keeping that in mind for when I make the official UI thingies!!
