The game features a symbol encounter system (battles occur when you come into contact with enemies roaming the map), making it a “traditional type” of RPG. However, the game’s most notable feature is its extreme brutality. Every enemy character’s graphic becomes increasingly damaged as they take hits, and upon defeat, a gruesome death image is displayed. Moreover, the image changes based on the amount of damage dealt at the time of defeat, ranging from “normal defeat” to “massacre” to “great massacre.”

Due to the massacre system, each character has three different death images. There are 23 basic characters, including the protagonist (the protagonist also has damage images), and with color variations and other additions, there are a total of 43 characters. This results in 819 different variations.

Additionally, the story itself is thoroughly brutal. The protagonist, controlled by the player, is a powerful monster succubus who instinctively massacres, r●pes, and devours humans. The game involves the player advancing through dungeons to kill people, an unusual and shocking premise. There are 12 basic still images in the game, all of which are grotesque. The number of grotesque pixel art images in the game is uncountable.

In addition to the large volume of images, the illustrations were repeatedly revised, which further extended the development period. You can see why the production took three years.
Succubus R●pe Cruel Story was released in 2017, seven years ago. Even looking at the completed work from seven years ago, I find many points where my drawing skills were lacking. At the start of the Succubus R●pe Cruel Story project, my drawing skills were even worse. During the three-year development period, I had several opportunities to confront and improve my own drawings, which was a positive experience. Indeed, my drawing skills improved over time.
▲The former ones show the old illustrations, and the latter ones show the completed ones. The old drawings are so poor that they don’t even warrant criticism. However, even then, the detailed work on the internal organs is noteworthy.
▲Some enemy characters were frequently redrawn. This is Beast, drawn first, which received harsh criticism. As you can see, moving from left to right, the designs become more refined. The two on the right were adopted as enemies in the completed game.
▲Some illustrations in the final product are better than others, but these are among the best. For those who play, I highly recommend viewing the “great massacre” illustration of the enemy Dryad on the right.
As previously mentioned, in Succubus R●pe Cruel Story, the protagonist is a monstrous succubus who kills instinctively. At the beginning of the game, the mature-bodied succubus, Angelina, appears. She is then confronted by the human swordswoman Virginie, who harbors a grudge against her. Virginie impales Angelina with her sword, inflicting a fatal wound, and then rapes her (in this world, futanari characters exist normally).
Angelina manages to escape but cannot survive her injuries. She gives birth to her daughter Jessica and then dies.

▲This is Elena, a mysterious girl who has served succubi for years. She supports the newly born Jessica and the player, although she does not help in battles at all.
Jessica, who is newly born, becomes the main character of the story. Initially appearing as an infant, she undergoes transformations and grows as the game progresses. The early parts of the game hardly have a storyline; instead, Jessica revels in massacring human settlements. Among the gameplay elements is a mini-game where the player controls Jessica to chase and kill humans.
However, once Jessica undergoes her first transformation into her second form, a young girl, she becomes sexually mature and aware of her desires. She then begins to torment and kill humans, as well as rape them.

At this point, the game system changes. In battles, a “R●pe” command is added, allowing the player to rape enemies in a near-death state. However, it is only depicted through text, without accompanying illustrations. Although some players expressed disappointment, creating rape illustrations for every enemy would have extended the production time by at least a year, making it an unavoidable choice.
Defeating, slaughtering, and rape-killing enemies, along with using the “R●pe” command, fills out the “Monster Encyclopedia.” Completing the encyclopedia unlocks additional content. Thus, the “R●pe” command serves as an achievement. Players have often given positive feedback on the Monster Encyclopedia entries, which we believe is a well-implemented system. Additionally, using the “R●pe” command increases the protagonist’s stats, making it a beneficial feature beyond just a preference event.
As the game progresses, the story intertwines with the protagonist Jessica’s vendetta against Virginie, the swordswoman who killed her mother, Angelina. What kind of human can kill the strongest succubus? This mystery gradually unfolds. On the other hand, Virginie, believing she had killed her arch-nemesis succubus, learns that Angelina’s daughter still lives and her revenge is not complete. The two confront each other multiple times. How their battles unfold and the unexpected direction they take is something you will need to see for yourself.
While Succubus R●pe Cruel Story was created to push the limits of eroticism and grotesque elements, its world is surprisingly well-crafted. The disturbing and eerie atmosphere blends seamlessly with the grotesque style, creating a coherent world.

For example, only female characters appear in the game. This is not just a stylistic choice; males genuinely do not exist in this world. Additionally, all monsters are female. While this is partly due to the nature of an erotic game, the reasons are explained within the game, including why males disappeared from the world and how humans and monsters fused.
Books available in the Elf Castle provide insights into the culture of the elf race and their relationships with other elf groups. For instance, the teleportation magic circle in the southern Elf Castle was provided by northern Dark Elves. However, due to limited cooperation, it only allows vertical movement, whereas the Dark Elf castle permits full mobility. This information is reflected in the map layout, showing how cultural backgrounds and map mechanics are interconnected.
The ecology of each monster can be found in the Monster Encyclopedia. Most creatures have aggressive and cruel tendencies, suggesting that the protagonist’s massacres are part of a broader context of world-wide brutality. While many of these details are just background settings, some are reflected in later game developments.

Looking back, I can see the passion I put into the creation of this game, and I’m quite impressed with my dedication at the time.
As some of you may already know, I often talk about this story. Despite spending three years developing Succubus R●pe Cruel Story, selling the game turned out to be extremely challenging.
First, stores like FANZA do not allow the sale of works with unmodified depictions of dismemberment and internal organs. Therefore, mosaics had to be added. However, this would significantly diminish the appeal of a game whose main attraction lies in its grotesque expressions. Consequently, we decided to distribute a patch on our website to remove the mosaics from the downloadable data available from the shop. (The shop stated that taking such measures independently was not an issue.)
While we were able to sell the game on FANZA, DLsite was a different story. The high level of brutality in the game was deemed unacceptable, and we were not allowed to sell it there. DLsite’s review process extends to the content of the game, and depictions of “enjoyable killing” are strictly prohibited. Additionally, contextless collections of corpse images are not permitted. While brutal depictions themselves are not entirely forbidden, they must be deemed necessary for the story’s progression.
As a result, I created a completely nonsensical version of the game called Pseudo-Succubus R●pe Cruel Story, in which the succubus protagonist was changed from a monster that instinctively kills and devours humans to a heroine who protects people from vicious monsters (requiring temporary dissection of the body to inject succubus semen to release brainwashing and contamination). However, such an obviously contrived attempt to avoid disapproval did not succeed. The disapproval wasn’t due to specific content but because the overall content was deemed unacceptable.
Faced with this, I resolved to completely remove the grotesque depictions from Succubus R●pe Cruel Story and create a revised version with additional stills and characters. This gave birth to The Adventure of Seeking After Succubus. Utilizing the maps, monsters, and game system from Succubus R●pe Cruel Story, I created a new protagonist and rebranded it as a different work. Honestly, without the grotesque elements that are the heart of Succubus R●pe Cruel Story, I find the work quite bland. However, I created it with the understanding that it would serve as a paid promotional work for Succubus R●pe Cruel Story. Those who purchase The Adventure of Seeking After Succubus can buy Succubus R●pe Cruel Story at a discounted price.

Not every shop turned us down. Platforms like Gyutto! and Melonbooks DL allowed us to sell as expected. These shops have no specific restrictions on brutal expressions, so you can enjoy the uncensored depictions of dismemberment and internal organs.
As detailed earlier, Succubus R●pe Cruel Story began its development a decade ago and was completed seven years ago. By today’s standards, the illustrations are crude, the gameplay can be tedious (and there are bugs), and there are numerous visible flaws without even needing to look closely. However, the passion I poured into it back then is evident, and there are many aspects that still impress me. Most importantly, the preferences showcased in Succubus R●pe Cruel Story?its unparalleled commitment to grotesque expressions?are the foundation of the currently developing QUEEN of MASSACRE. For those eagerly awaiting the completion of QUEEN of MASSACRE, I highly recommend experiencing Succubus R●pe Cruel Story at least once.
