About use of AI in the Textures

Hey Everyone,

I've received many questions about whether the textures are AI-generated, so I thought it best to address this here.

Are the textures AI-generated?

These textures are not entirely AI-generated. I use a variety of tools, including Krita with the Krita-AI-Diffusion plugin, Stable Diffusion, Photoshop, Substance Sampler, and Substance Designer. Therefore, these textures are "AI-assisted."

I created these textures for my own projects in a short amount of time, and instead of letting them sit unused, I decided to share them for a small price/free. While some parts might look better if done entirely by hand or procedural methods, I don't have the time to do everything manually due to my full-time job. The AI-assisted workflow allows me to offer these textures for free/cheap price. If you prefer textures made entirely by hand, you are not obliged to use these.

Regarding the process:

I start with doodles or a base texture made with Substance Designer. I then use AI to generate textures based on these initial designs and refine them in Photoshop. This process still requires significant effort to achieve good results. Creating every iteration manually would take much longer and result in higher prices. The current pricing reflects the balance of quality and time invested.

I have improved the quality in my newer packs which took longer time, but they haven't received as many views. Despite using an AI-assisted workflow, these textures are not entirely made with AI, which is why I use the "Hand-drawn" tag instead of the "AI" tag.
