Visibility Stealth System

I worked on this analysis with a team. There are multiple types of stealth systems such as sound, visibility, and more. We dived into the details of how the stealth system works in the visibility aspect. We covered the main mechanics, loops, arcs and verbs/noun pairings. 


We talk about video games using this system and how they use it in their own unique way, such as Persona 5/ Persona 5 Royal, Horizon Zero Dawn, Sniper Elite 3, Dishonored, Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. 


We also added this system into Minecraft and talked about how this would benefit the gameplay. We thought that this would allowed players to use stealth and camouflage to avoid hostile creatures and other players during exploration and construction. Players can use shadows and light in the game to hide. When in stealth mode, the player's visibility in the shadows is greatly reduced, and in the light, it is easy to be discovered by hostile creatures and other players. Players can find or make various disguises, such as disguising as trees, stones or other environmental elements, so that they can be unnoticed in a specific environment.
