Itch io and it's price filters

Did you already notice that itch.io only has five price categories?

Free, On Sale, Paid, $5  or less and $15 or less.

You also cant sort by price.

So how will people discover my game?

Lets imagine someone who has a spare 10 dollars. They're looking for a game.
They click on '$15 or less'. What do they see?

At the moment the prices of the first six I see are 1 dollar, 2.99 dollar, 2.99 dollar,  4.20 dollar (15% discounted), 0 dollar (100% discounted) and 4.39 (45% discounted). That's ranked by popular.

Ranked by Top Rated the first six are 4.39 (45% discounted),  2.99, 9.09 (30% discounted), 6.50 (35% discounted), 2.10 (30% discounted) and 14.99.

Ranked by Popular the top six is pretty much the same for both 5 or less and 15 or less.

The price points of 5 dollars and 15 dollars are important to keep in mind.
I suppose it would be best to price under 5 dollars. At current exchange rates that's 4.60 euro or less.
As discussed in a previous post I'm hoping to keep about 1/3rd. So that would be 1.50 euro per sale.
To make 10 euro would require 7 sales.
I dont know if that's feasible. I would have to sell a lot of games.

But I also dont feel like I can make games that are worth close to 15 dollar now.
I was planning on aiming for a sale price of 6 euro but then everyone who filters on 5 dollar or less will not see it.

All in all the goal remains the same.
Sell one game at any price, and keep the day job.

But these price points and the prices of other games in the store will be important later.
It is something to think about. Eventually I will have to decide if I want to stay under that 5 dollar limit or not.
