Patches On Haitus

I've always hated Postmorems.

It's, for some reason, always has had a negative connotation for me. Like a funeral or a death.

This is neither.

Though hiatus aren't much better. Generally meaning the project is going, except for some exceptions.

There's always exceptions.

That the project is going to vaporware status.

I'd like to think this is not the case with Patches.

Patches, it seems, requires a fare larger budget then I could ever provide alone for it at this point in time.

I bought art, design, music.

I guess what I couldn't buy is the need for people to want to monetarily support this game.

I don't know how to do that. I guess it's never been one of my strong suits. Communicating and convincing people to support the project financially. I don't know why. Maybe it's just an inherent weakness that I have. Should I have bought or hired some community management of some sort? I dunno. I tweeted about the game. I made blogs. I showed screenshots. I never bought ads. Don't do that.

If ever you get anything from a post like this is never ever ever by social media or other type of ads for your project unless you are selling a product. They are never worth it.

So what's next?

I'm going to keep looking for budget solutions. I am not the right person for several jobs that his game needs done. I can make stuff sure, but, alone on a project of this size? With no foreseeable budget increase? I do not have the training for that.

I still enjoy making games and will continue to do so. I'm working on one right now that I've been for a year and a half.

It's a solo ttrpg about small creatures in a big dungeon.

I'll be sharing it soon and I hope you'll enjoy the project.

As for me, I'll be working on producing videos for tik tok and youtube to try and find some success there.

As for Patches of Adventure. Well.

Patches Of Adventure is going on a hiatus.

I love the little game and will go back to work on it once I have or find another budget solution.

Thank you for your love, support, and compassion for Patches Of Adventure

You'll see this project again.

After all, a hiatus is another kind of a, patch, of Adventure.

Until then!
