2024 Devlog #1

Hello, hello everyone!

With the end of May right around the corner, I want to talk about all of the progress that has been made in regards to the Sacrarium Universe during this time. Of course, for those of you who follow my tumblr this is old news. As always, tumblr is the best way to hear about any and all news related to the games first. 

Anyways, onto the news you're all here for:

  1. Sacrarium Pario has been fully written and is currently being edited.
  2. A majority of the code for Sacrarium Pario has been completed. The only code remaining is related to CGs and smaller visual touches. I am also probably going to do another audio pass to tweak VO. 
  3. Rian has completed 3 of the remaining CGs and is working on the remainder (approx 11ish. Some CGs have more variations than others). 
  4. Sacrarium Pario has gone through one round of rigorous playtesting where a lot of major bugs were discovered and cleaned up. The game should now run from start to finish with all endings achievable. 
  5. A guide to help completionists get 100% of the Dead Endings is in the works. This guide also explains how to get the other endings and how the affection system works in the game. 
  6. The Woeful Rose & The Bitter Crow was outlined once with the common route completed before I looked at it, decided I hated it, and started over from the outline level again. I'm currently a little less than 2/3rds through that reoutlining process. I intended to be done by the end of May, but then I got pneumonia for 2 weeks.  Thus, my goal is to get it done towards the middle of June and hopefully get the writing done by the end of July to early August (IRL constraints willing). 

As soon as assets for Sacrarium Pario hit my hands, I will be integrating things together to prepare the game for launch. 

Until then, I'm going to be working on The Woeful Rose & The Bitter Crow. My current goal is to get WRBC re-outlined and written before I go hunting for beta readers, editors, CG artists, and character concept artists to get the visuals finished. Luckily, the audio has already been done, and we're using Minikle BGs. Thus, the only real art assets missing are CGs and a couple of sprites. 

Once Sacrarium Pario and The Woeful Rose & The Bitter Crow are done, we will get to move into the next installment of the mainline: Sacrarium Contego, the game where we will finally meet female warden, the great Lady Necare, Warden of Summer, Godkiller, and Goddess of Azura.
