Introducing //CONST //INT

Hey everyone! Thank you for your support and interest in GDpsx.

Rewrite

After some time and consideration I am planning on a major release to make this addon a GDExtension. The goal for this is to ensure the project’s usability isn’t locked by any specific officially supported language for Godot, meaning you will be able to use the framework with GDscript and C#.

This rewrite will postpone the visual scripting event/dialog system as well as the other planned features until the rewrite is complete, language bindings and all.

Another reason for the rewrite is a personal one, that being I want to become more familiar with C++ as I also work in Unreal Engine for my job. This would allow me to become a bit more acquainted with the language and improve my abilities as a game developer greatly.

Upon the release of the rewrite, the GDextension will be released here on itch. The source code will also be made public, giving developers the ability build the extension from source for free. This can be found here Source Code

If you don’t want to set up a C++ environment or just want to support me and the project, you can still purchase the binaries here on itch. The public trello board will too be either replaced or updated with a new list or updated to better reflect the current development.

Rebrand

The project also experienced a re-branding. I want the project to eventually become a complete a framework for games of all visual aesthetics, not just limited to PSX/Retro aesthetics. From this day forward the project will be referred to as //CONST //INT.

Aiming to make solo developers lives easier with a tool that I am developing for use in my own project, The Sauk Archive.

I hope you enjoy the ride that is becoming //CONST //INT.
