Howdy everyone,

The 2024 Sci-Fi One-Shot Jam is now accepting entries! This is a jam to create sci-fi one-shots for your favorite RPG based on the theme:

Stellar Phenomena - black holes, pulsars, novas, solar flares, and many more.

We’re also introducing Hard Mode, a set of optional restrictions for people who want extra challenges like two-page mode, ASCII art mode, and even additional themes.

If this is your first time writing an adventure, we have tools, templates, and a Discord link on the jam page to help you get started. Some ideas to spark your imagination:

• Delta Green: The 2024 solar eclipse stayed for one Texas town. Infernal MAJESTIC machines churn as a Whisperer stirs in the darkness…
• Mothership: In the heart of a comet, a terrible darkness slumbers. When your team arrives to mine the comet, the beast reawakens. Its goal: trigger a supernova and feast on the cracked star and the dead, orbiting souls
• Traveller: The players are sent to hasten the evacuation of an outpost orbiting an unstable magnetar, a neutron star with a strong magnetic field.

Some standouts from previous years:

• Ancient Aliens: A dinosaur dungeon-crawl through an ancient human factory.
• Run for Your Lives!: A Classic Traveller adventure all about running away from some Grey Goo.
• Snag the Suit/Evac the Exec: A cool double-adventure where players either try to capture or protect a VIP.
