Dialing In On Purpose

Creating articles and guides has been an absolute blast. But as time becomes less available while raising kids I have been forced to shift focus to a single aspect of what Alone Together is. This last week I have considered not just what I enjoy most about this whole process, but also what I think the community will benefit most from. I settled on the designing of resources which actually get people to the table and playing.

Moving forward I am going to be focusing on game and adventure design, specifically getting the idea of Key-Lock Adventures honed. I believe that this format of adventure has merit and addresses a current need in the solo space, which is something between sandbox play and prewritten module. June's issue will see my first rollout for a longer Key-Lock adventure featuring a more 'Choose Your Own Adventure' style of play with more player led narratives.

Additionally, I am still going to be around the subreddit and discord for Solo Roleplaying and also Game Design to help out those who need some guidance or feedback.

Current Projects

Tea Leaves and Moonlit Schemes is sitting solidly in the playtest phase. I finished a round of document edits which make things a bit cleaner and clearer. Moving everything over to Canva is going to be a bear, but that will start this summer.

Issue #6 is 80% done and will have a planned June release.

Key-Lock Adventure Primer. This is a document which will release with every future Key-lock booklet and explain the process and how players can create their own Key-lock formatted adventures to assist with solo play. I am just beginning to pen this document and will start play testing it very soon. Unsure if it will be available for the Junes release.

Cypher System/Numenara review. I am just beginning a sandbox playthrough of the Cypher System and am having a BLAST. Such a good system and very excited to get a review up for this soon.
