A Demo

I've generally been trying to avoid Twitter, which is usually where I'd usually talk about these things. So this will do.

Commonweal (out now!) is a bit of a tech demo. I've been experimenting with asynchronous and novel multiplayer mechanics for years (Kingsplant is essentially hide and seek, Community Garden is, well, community-based gardening and The Things We Lost In The Flood is a glorified messaging service) - however, Commonweal is an attempt to seal the deal and play around with an actual, completely synchronous space.

I've purposefully avoided things like text or emoting (although Terriv's Concreto nearly convinced me to add waving last week) but there are mechanics around playing together - both thematically and physically. I'm also happy to see at least some players[1][2] picking up what I'm putting down. There are still a couple of things in the game I haven't seen anyone mention yet.

Let me know what you think.
