Our teams postmortem discussion came sooner than it felt as I had only joined the team relatively recently compared to my other team members. But I wouldn't change anything about my merge into team minus one, as I have learnt so much about joining a team far into development and feel fully prepared for when I inevitably join a team at any point in their development cycle, that kind of experience is priceless in a learning atmosphere like school whereas if I were in a working position there would be a lot less room for error and learning opportunities.
I value the way me and our programming team were able to meet and sit together for hours separating work between us to get bugs fixed and programming progress done. We learnt how to properly use our skills and tackle problems together, while bouncing ideas and possible solutions off each other's heads to get work done in a fraction of the time it would have taken us to do it individually. Also being able to learn how to handle the work of many people and importing a lot of assets while working around code I'm unfamiliar with was a learning opportunity I wasn't aware that I needed, but I am very happy I got.
Also, because of my past experiences I am now aware of what red flags to look out for in a team, furthering my understanding of team dynamics and a good and healthy work space environment.
