Hoi hoi I'm Chirabi. How are you all! We all know that creating a game is a commitment. Due to its multimedia nature all, and I mean every and all types of skills become relevant. It is a very encompassing and inviting industry in that way isn't it?
Yet, here I am trying to do it all alone. Putting together music, artwork, character design, lore, plot writing, coding, level design, and dialogue in both planning and execution of detail. It is not a human task to do alone - when also working 100% full time. This is why I've taken the aid of the software we all know as RPG Maker.
With the store resources available for the RPG Maker engine I can purchase access to composed music, visual character design, map making tilesets and even voice acting. This makes it possible to save a lot of time for solo dev projects!
Because of this I can focus on writing a story and creating NPC characters, and a world full of mysteries and dungeons and weapons, boss enemies and alchemy systems - all kinds of exciting things that distinguish an RPG!
This is what I am now doing! I will aim to update this devlog as process goes forward, until the release of my solo dev game (title is still in progress). One thing that I can reveal already is that the theme will revolve around "self discipline". When urged by impulses and pressure from external sources, can one still remain the composure within oneself? Or are you swayed off your feet, into the flow of mass consensus? To truly make this theme shine the game is actively designed to provide the player with many consequential choices both in regards to story dialogue and gameplay style.
