Hello everyone. How are you all doing? Hope you're well.
Well, it's been a while since the last post, and I come with some updates about the next game I'm developing and maybe others to follow.
The first one I want to share with you is a remake of Phoenix's Tear, which, as I've mentioned in previous posts, might only be published from next year onwards. I'm at a point in my life where I don't have much time to write and develop the game. I'm dealing with a lot of studying and work, and starting next week, it's going to get even more intense as I begin a voluntary internship, necessary for my future career. But enough about me. Back to the game, let me share some of my plans: Three romanceable characters, each with their own personality and backstory; a reading or gameplay time of a few hours maybe, as I have plenty in mind to add to the story; and finally, since this is my first complete project I've worked so hard on, I'll only offer one possible route for each character, quite linearly. Perhaps, just maybe, one or two secret routes in there somewhere. Who knows乁| ・ 〰 ・ |ㄏ ...
Okay. Now, I'm going to talk about something quite important. The art.
Here's the thing. I don't have the means to pay for every game asset. I was very fortunate that my friend agreed to work with me on this game, creating the sprites, and I feel really bad about it because I can't afford to pay him what I believe he deserves.
The sprites will be created by my dear friend Glitch. As for the music and sound effects, I've been doing some research and plan to use websites like uppbeat, pixabay, etc. Now, what bothers me the most are the backgrounds. They are the only thing (I hope) that I will create using artificial intelligence. I've already looked for stock images and the like, but I couldn't quite fit them into the game. I want to make it clear that if I could, I would pay for the work of artists. I'm also not a fan of art generated by artificial intelligence, but it's the highest quality I can provide in my situation.
Well, thank you to you who took the time to read and accompany me. Feel free to write whatever you want in the comments, I read them all. And again, I'm sorry for what I can and cannot do. I know this will bother quite a few people.
Okay then. Until next time.
