So far my game is going very well. This week I have added 3 new levels to my RPG Playground game ("Coin Collector"). The game is going to consist of 4 mazes (which are the mini maps) from my game portfolio. I have added a snow and summer maze with accurate settings for both. I spent lots of time creating details to bring out the seasons in each map. As a gamer myself, I realize how important setting is to create an immersive experience. I have also played around a lot with the blue doors within the program that act as portals. When you leave the main starting level you can choose one of four portals to enter. I will be next be adding the monsters within the obstacle mazes. I plan to have multiple monsters to battle in each level to bring a challenge to my game. When the maze is completed you take a final portal to the inside of the house on the main starting level. That is what is considered beating the level. My next step is to start adding invisible npc's that will help in the characetr/dialogue interactions and storyline of my game. After I add dialogue barks and other storyline mechanisms I plan to brush up any final touches and then conduct multiple playthroughs on my own to make sure everything is working as intended.
1) So far while playing Stardew Valley my team has worked on farming seeds and crops to help keep energy high. Our next step is to start selling items at the shop and work on getting better fishing rods.
2) One of our group members seems to be a more experienced farming sim player. He has passed his knowledge on to the rest of our team to help with the learning curve.
3) Our team's strategy is to continue to advance and get better by playing with the goal of acquiring the expresso beans so we can move around the map faster.
4) I discovered multiple character interactions but the one that stuck out most to me was talking with the fisherman. I enjoyed this part of the storyline and look forward to learning more about the gameplay narrative as we continue to play as a team. We left off on day / night #3.
