My story

Earlier this year i decided to venture into making pixel art. The main reason I decided to look into it was because I always loved the style and have always wanted to make a pixel art based game. Finally I sat down watched some videos and loaded up the best free online tool for pixel art creation Pixilart. I started making little goblins and creatures working on the shading and colors that looked the best. I started to work on these medieval weapons a little bit after. Every day I would make one or two. My Dad actually came up with the idea of creating a little package I could sell to try and make some money for my car. From there on I made 50 unique weapons with different variations. I wanted these to be a very simple rpg pack that could be used for many different applications by developers. As you can imagine the more of these weapons I made the more I got better. The whole system of creating them was down pat and it was feeling like a therapeutic thing I would do after school. Even though I made 50 assets about 20 of those I went back to in order to tweak and improve the lighting and textures. 100+ hours later All 50 assets were completed all that was left to do was make a thumbnail and upload the asset pack to the unity asset store. Little did I know is that the queue for uploading is ungodly long even to this day (45 days since upload) I am still in the queue at #316 out of #2700. I got fed up of waiting and started to make some more assets playing around with the design of guns. Later on my two other packs the Western weapons pack and Modern weapons essentials pack came before I even discovered that I could sell on Itch.io. To my surprise it was so much easier than unity. All i had to do was upload the files with a thumbnail and personalize the page. I have been very excited with the future of what I can do on this platform and I figured I would document my journey.
