decided quit game dev -

made about 45 games past 5 years just trying make games for others to enjoy but in those 5 years no one would check out my games or give me feedback but people can make spongebob horror games commit ip theft and gain a bunch of followers with copyright infringement and get on the top of itch io with many followers  , people steal games on itch io  and so on , after awhile you have to ask yourself what is the point of making more games if no one will play them or give me any feedback 

people say they want originality and bash devs all the time but in reality gamers want familiarity , i got into game dev because i hated where the industry is going only  to come to terms with there will not be a shift in perception because people still turn the other way when you try to do something different and just make somethin enjoyable and fun to play  , you have to follow the pack and constantly push your games like products to others like a door to door salesmen 

after awhile i realized i am starting to hate the game dev community , when you are a game dev it is one of the only hobbies where people trash you online for just doing what you enjoy , time to move on find something that brings me true passion
