Over the weeks I've been in charge of art assets that are to be placed into the game. The primary ones I've been working on are the UI assets and character art.
Both me and another team member created some concept sketch for our character. I focused more on the character design where as my teammate focused on costuming and we eventually conbined our sketches into one design. We has a inital color palette we wanted to use but had to iterate since it made the design was unbalanced and tacky. We had a very minor conflict during this time since I had more experince with Vtuber designs and culture that influenced my design so I had to explain and inform my team member of my deisgn choices while also keeping in mind her criticisms with the design iterations since they were valid points. We eventually find a solution for the issue that we're both happy with. UI was rather simple to create when we had established a guidelines on the theme and the needs for it, minor metric adjustments were made to better work with our game through out the designing process. I still need to create buttons for the UI that I need to catch up on. I'll be continue to finish the UI while also starting to render the final character art and start creating VFXs/animations for the donation system we recently implumented to the game.
