There will be some changes in how I work. First, even if a game is completed, if it sells well, I may continue to update it. It’s what happened recently with “My Chara Mansion”. If you’ve already bought the game, then the updates will be free.

This will have zero impact on you, but I’ll start using the .webp format. This is such a great format. It’s hated because a lot of software can’t open it or edit it but it doesn’t matter when they are inside a game. A lot of renpy games use them and I understand why: JPEG can’t do transparency and PNG is an enormous pain to compress. Thanks to .webp, my next project will be able to contain a lot of pictures with transparency.

The last thing is “playable in the browser”. I’ve noticed that a lot of players don’t want to download games. They want to play them inside their browsers. I’ll continue to create a Windows and Android version though. For Mac users, they’ll play the browser version. I’ll work so that those playing in the browser have the best experience possible, so I’ll have to find a way to save reliably.
