Hey there!
I wanted to share a little bit of a longer form update on my upcoming games A Day in the Death: Revamped and Fallen from Grace. To do that, let's start with a little backstory; let's talk a little bit about A Day in the Death.
A Day in the Death was and is my first foray into game design, my goal was always to turn it's bones into a framework ffor other solo journaling rpgs. About a year later, I started working on Fallen From Grace.
Fallen From Grace, however, very quickly grew and expanded into something of it's own, and underneath the surface of the game itself I could see a system emerging (cue woman doing math meme). This evolution in my game design, led to a desire to revisit the ideas I explored in making A Day in the Death, thus introducing the idea of a Fallen From Game, a rules-lite solo journaling rpg system.
Fallen From Games explore the illusion of right and wrong while fate, in the form of tarot spreads, dictate where along that spectrum a player's character exists, for a moment in time.
Which brings us to A Day in the Death: Revamped. I currently plan to release Fallen From Grace this summer (more announcements coming soon!), so in the meantime, Revamped is both a reimagined look at my first solo rpg, and a sneak peak of what's to come with my next.
A Day in the Death and Revamped have a lot in common and a lot that makes them completely different. Folks who enjoyed A Day in the Death will find new stakes added by the Fallen From Game system. Folks new to both can expect narrative gameplay experiences, with A Day in the Death focusing more on character through thirst and symptoms, and Revamped exploring character through consequences of vampirism.
