Let's go Nuts! - Game Jam FI MUNI GDD

My second game jam experience was at my university. We had a week-long stay in nature focused on game development. It sounds a bit weird, but it was maybe the best week of this year. 7 days of living with people excited about game development, talks from experts from the industry, workshops, and of course, the game jam! 

Working on a VERY short-term project with this many people tested our communication and management skills. Not all members were present the whole time and that added an extra chaos element. But we managed to submit a playable game! You can download it at the link below, or watch the short gameplay video.

    • environment - editing assets from the store and creating own objects (islands, squirrel, nuts)
    • UI - menu, pause screen, and the pop-ups

    • Implementing sound and music
    • Programming the cannons

    • Button prompts (press e to hop into cannon)
