I have been working on a new tool to make game dev easier for beginners. It it a simple scripting language that converts directly to a ".gb" file that can run on the original Gameboy! The scripting language has syntax similar to Python/JavaScript and I have been trying to make it as simple as possible for beginners to make games for the Gameboy. If you don't want to develop games for the Gameboy then I will eventually make it possible to export to the Web too! 

I have just started this project so may be a while before it is released, but I will try to release a beta for this project in the next few months.

I will post some updates with more details and pictures but I need to get a little more work done on the project first.
