Quarantined State - Devlog #1

Hello, I'm Dominick, a 26 year old developer, still in the early learning process of game development.  I'm starting to develop my own game, right now the working title is "Quarantined State". It is in the early concept phase currently, but follow along for regular devlogs and progress updates on my upcoming game.

"Quarantined State" is being made using Unity in C#. It is a modern dark fantasy, set in a post-apocalyptic America (mainly Oregon), set a few months after a portal opens up in Nevada, exposing earth to the dark forces of an alternate dimension. Soon after monsters, fog, exponential growth in plant life, and viruses and mutations wreck havoc across the USA. You are saved by a survivalist group of scavengers, living in a hidden town, and must contribute to your new family. Go on expeditions outside the walls, looking for food, water, supplies, weapons, anything that will help your group in the long run, but be cautious, the days have grown shorter and monsters thrive in the darkness. 

I plan for it to be an easy drop in, co-op online multiplayer experience (up to 4 players). The graphics style will be 3D Low Poly (with PSX style shaders). The game will have proximity chat similar to "Phasmophobia" or "Lethal Company".

I think I will animate the tree girl to sway in the wind, add some BG music, and animate the title font, to make this the official start screen in game.

There will be many more posts like this to come, I will be sharing the progress of "Quarantined State" whenever I feel I have something worth sharing.
