SCIENCE/FIGHTING GAME CONCEPT HELP for SCHOOL PROJECT ! artistic compensation ig yay

Hello!!! I'd appreciate ANY (helpful) advice or help with this, or any suggestions or ideas AT ALL, however outlandish they may be. thank you so much ! Please don't be hesitant !

For a senior capstone project, our teacher wants a culmination of what we've learned throughout our school years, yadda yadaa- I'm looking to jsut do rough concepts and make assets for a fighting/strategy type game that mixes aspects of science into traditional-fighting games. If an inquiry or "solution to a question" is needed, this could help younger students develop or better understand basic scientific concepts (eg. physics, chem, bio).
I've just started to get concepts and ideas down today, but here's what I have so far ! I want to try and make everything cohesive, somehow joining in with each other one way or another. Rather than a RPS based system, I've opted for a pro/con system based on someone's playstyles, and how they can counter the other player (depending on what they've chosen). Unfortunately I don't know how to actually make a game or code so this project will just remain an idea for now. I plan on making just assets/animations/designs after I have rough ideas or systems down; any help at all is appreciated, thank you!

STRATEGY/FIGHTING GAME based on SCIENCE YAY

HEAT MECHANICS

  1. Heat-based health mechanic; hot and cold, can maintain middle temp
    1. If you make your heat bar move one way, it slowly keeps moving that way to prevent abuse of a style; MUST go back to the middle eventually to keep a temp
    2. Moves, etc. that can make character too “hot” or “cold”; change gameplay styles.
      1. HOT; aggressive, fast, SMALL DAMAGE
        1. PROS AND CONS: Faster, More unstable, prone to “breakage”/weaker bonds. Higher speed+lower def
          1. WHY?: Speed= unstable/quicker moving particles, def= able to be separated more easily
  1. COLD; predicting, slower, BIG DAMAGE
    1. PROS AND CONS: Slower, stronger bonds.Better structural integrity. Higher def+lower speed
      1. WHY?: Def= Higher structural integrity, speed= slower moving particles
  1. Represented by a temperature slider bar BUT changes depending on environment, see- levels

FIGHTING MECHANICS

Structural integrity-> bond length-> CHOSEN smaller elements will make stronger solids
