Hey there! I'm so excited to be taking CMI 3377 this semester! I look forward to learning as much about the game designing process as possible. I have a long history with games that goes all the way back to my diaper days, so getting to see the foundations upon which a game is built is a journey I've always wanted to embark on for as long as I can remember. I also have played a very wide variety of games from a myriad of different genres such as FPS, racing, fighting, RPG, MMO, MOBA's, party games, and even horror titles just to name a few of them. In addition, I play a MOBA game at the competitive level and I've even gained tournament experience this past Spring in a game called Pokémon Unite. Its honestly the game I spend the most time playing since I've always wanted to go pro in a Pokémon game for so much of my life and getting to start that journey back in February of this year is truly something I would have only dreamed of back when I was a kid myself. Truth be told, I almost did go pro in a different Pokémon game called Pokkén Tournament DX but just as I was planning to do so, COVID happened and everything had been shutdown and with it, my first chance at stardom. Little did I know, it would not be my last chance, thankfully. You see, when Pokémon Unite first came out, I was very excited as a casual player, but when it was revealed that a competitive series was being created, I knew what I needed to do, and so I started practicing day in and day out. Eventually, I'd join my first eSports team, and started getting prepared for my grand debut in the Pokémon Unite Championship Series. While I didn't go all the way as I had hoped, I did however grow a lot as a competitive player, and I hope what I learn in this class will help further that growth, and going from playing a game at a very high level, to the very beginning of the game design process is sure to be an exciting adventure for me this fall! Wreck 'Em!
