Undersea Arcade "Flight" sim with UE5

New to Itch.io, and its seems like a less hectic place to post updates compared to social media! So... I left my job 2 months ago, spent a month packing up my flat then moved to Spelkollektivet, a co-living workspace for game developers. I've been dabbling in unity since '09 with a mix of games and learning projects. With the drama going on with the writers and actors in Hollywood, I thought it was a good time to break away from the world of Film/VFX/Post Production into game development.

It's been a blast staying at SK, I can focus just on learning Unreal (For 3D stuff) and Godot (2D stuff). Last week was the Spelkollektivet 2023 Halloween Game Jam, and the week before that I spent time figuring out UE5 for my 3D Underwater Arcade Sim.

Pretty chuffed as this was done over two days, most of the time was spent figuring out how setup Enhanced Input on the player controller, and using it to control the player pawn. Quickly dropped in one of my favourite kitbash 3d assets to get a feel of what an underwater cyber punk city would look like.

I will be making the graphics more stylized, between Playstation 1 and 2 - the games from those times bring me so much good memories. Ironic, as I could not afford a console growing up - I played lots of PS games on a PS Vita.
