Fen's Friday #1

I’d like to start posting regular status updates again. I’m now playing around with more than one major game – Boss Buffet and Predatory Pursuit – so I figure I’ll just make these into blog posts.

Boss Buffet

I teased this game about a month ago with an “appetizer”. This was a 48-hour project to give the idea (horny boss battles, lots of vore) a shot. It worked out pretty well, so…here we are!

The new game is a lot more fleshed out internally. Bosses can perform elaborate actions involving multiple body parts, and there can be many meals (i.e. party members) on the field at once. Despite getting into some convoluted situations, like snatching one meal whilst swallowing others, the boss (usually) doesn’t get stuck.

I’m really happy with how things have been going. Adding new attacks and behaviors has been pretty darn easy, and I think I actually like my settings system for once. I might wind up copying it over to Predatory Pursuit later…

I’m thinking of adding a shrinking-themed synth boss next. Stay tuned (:

Predatory Pursuit

As I mentioned above, I’ve got some big changes I want to bring over to Predatory Pursuit. That will take time, and I’m going to continue to work on Boss Buffet for a while, I think.

Regardless, I will probably be uploading a new experimental build of the game in a week or two. The rewrite has gone well, and I think people will enjoy being able to be the monster!
