John Harpers roleplaying game of ancient heroes is 30% off until 15 november. It's a light system that allows for epic scenes of heroics and cunning, and I personally love its episodic nature.

I liked AGON so much I wrote a playset for it called RONIN, so you could use a slightly altered system to play wandering warriors striving to earn back their honor. I even wrote five new adventures for it.

So, I'm a bit biased here, but I think you should really give AGON a chance. Besides my hack, there's playsets to create a mecha-vs-monsters, Jacques Cousteau, or wild west story, to name a few. Maybe you'd even like to give RONIN a try.
