Pumpkin Panic Theory

I think I figured out what the game Pumpkin Panic is trying to tell (Though I may be overanalyzing)

I think all the creatures trying to kill you are metaphors of fears trying to come back into your peaceful life.

I think the garden that you play in is a representation of your mind. You try to clear it, like your gardening or vitalizing your mind because plants are representatives of vitality, but your fears keep on interfering. Each monster is a metaphor of a fear.

  • The Wendigo represents bad events. The Wendigo in folklore is a cannibal turned into a monster.  So I believe that The Wendigo represents bad events coming back to your conscious which was previously peaceful.
  • The Clowns represent people/guilt. One forces a favor but when you don't return it, the mere thought of them becoming upset gives a wave of guilt into your conscious.
  • The deer represents misleading innocence with stress. Lets say you do something that you think wouldn't cause harm to yourself but turns out causes more stress. Like if your hired for a big job, you think things will get better but turns out you get paid money for your happiness.
  • The shadow monster represents you. You beating yourself up with thoughts in your sleep. You constantly reminding you of your past mistakes. You giving all of that once you get comfortable.

If you don't understand the behaviors of the monsters, I highly recommend to actually play Pumpkin Panic here Pumpkin Panic
