A short Art Log of What I have created so far for the player character : design based on the Nier Automitas 2B for MVM 21.
(Blade attack combo, with active idle state and recovery as well as a dash and blade drop attack)
Not shown are the run/idle/jump/slide/ledge grab/wall jump (Mainly the movement animations). However, please let me know if you guys would like to see those as well!

I like to block out the movements in Aseprite and get a feel before importing and animating in the engine.
I still have yet to work on the planned whip attack and enemies, however I do have rough drafts and concepts for those as well:
(Enemy walk, active idle, and return to walk)
Although My team and I will most likely move this project to SMVM 21, We will hopefully have a playable demo by the end of the jam on the 15th of September.
Just a quick update where I'm at so far, and I have gotten tons of helpful and encouraging feedback thus far, Thanks for all the support and I may update this post in the future!
