Updates

Hey, how's it going?

Been a little while since I've talked on here about upcoming games and whatnot, but I've got some stuff to talk about, so let's get on with it!

First, and the big news, Apocalite is currently indefinitely postponed until I get my shit together with this game or get a team to help me bring my vision to life.

The truth is, I suck at making games. Especially coding. And Apocalite is way bigger than I originally imagined, so it was a big project to throw myself into without much game dev experience. This doesn't mean the game is cancelled! It just means that you won't hear about it for a while. The prologue could still happen in the next 1-2 years, but no guarantees.

BUT! I am going to still try to make some games! I've taken a different approach to it this time around, and I've been working around in Godot and making a very simple (and purposefully bad) test platformer to get a better understanding of the engine. I'll attach a picture of it - I know it's horrendous but I didn't really care about that, I just wanted to get a better understanding of Godot, as I said.

I can't exactly tell you everything I'm working on, but stuff will be revealed soon, probably in 2024.

Right now I'm building the world for a new, smaller game that will maybe release next year and also working on testing out some of it's features in Godot (hint: the platformer test is a super early, and I mean, SUPER early prototype. aka, the game I'm working on is kind of a platforming game, but its also more than that).

And also, I did a little bit of rebranding, and until I come up with a cool name to go under for my games, my... uh, "game studio",  I guess? is just my name for now.

thanks for reading! stay tuned for more stuff in the future!
