Hey, my name is Jay!
I'm a 19 years old college student, for the last three years of my life I have been building programming skills and learning music production. I had this Idea of creating a game studio two years ago and I kept delaying it. Finally I decided to start small with my idea and to develop it step by step into the thing I want to create. I've searched all reddit and this subreddit was recommended more than a couple of times. Everyone told me to put out my Idea here. the idea goes like this :
I want to gather a team of people who are extremely passionate in both game making and art of all forms (Drawing, animating, producing, writing and so ... ). We will start small and slow, if you're an artist or a programmer that is interested HMU so we discuss further details of the idea. The team I'm planning to gather is meant to create games and participate in all major game Jams on itch.io during a year (Major jam meaning there are more than 3k people involved in it). it'll only take a couple of hours every day or two to be a part of team. I'm aware that there are already big studios working out there and putting out games that have a fine quality, but I'm really not that intimidated.
Now for the money part (which, let's be honest, all of us are here for):
At first of couple of games we for sure won't be financially benefited, and that is why I'm asking for passionate people who can dedicate a tiny portion of their time for something they love to do, slowly but surly once we established a small name we can start looking out for profit out of this game team thing.
I know I sound unreal and dreamy about everything. But I'm sure that there are a couple of people out of the 44K members in this subreddit that are willing to be involved in such project and are actively searching for such post as mine.
You can find links for social media, Github, Itch io page and music platforms here.
Thanks for reading the whole thing, and feel free to ask me about anything that's related to my Idea down in the comments.
