Climbing Over It(?) Devlog #2

Welp, if you couldn't tell already, this game is almost exclusively inspired by Getting Over It and the like! Hopefully I've changed the scheme up enough that I won't get sued, but that's a problem for future me -- for now at least, let's see what I've got cooked up for you so far! (excuse me if I ramble on as I go :p)

Well let's see -- this game. This game started out as just a control scheme, with the idea of physics based movement attached to your joysticks; didn't know what I was gonna use it for, but the memory of "Little Big Planet 3" hands is what I was going for, if I'm not the only one who remembers that, haha. After putting it all together, I couldn't think of a single genre that fit it better than an unreasonably hard mess! (not JUST because I made a horrifically bad control scheme, I swear)

Something about swinging around like a complete hooligan sounded like a good fit for a rage game, especially when in competition with Bennett Foddy and Sam Hogan. Things like the monkey came later, after I found one that actually lives in the mountains (had no idea there were any)! "The Gelada Baboon", also known as the "Bleeding-Heart Monkey" lives exclusively in the Ethiopian Highlands with a max elevation of 4,550m or 14,930ft! Now my last question is: what name fits such a majestic creature as this? I've got one or two ideas, but I need help to think of a REAL good one. I can't just call him "the monkey", that feels wrong.

I'll be back next week, maybe sooner, with another one of these, and hopefully by that time I'll have a name for my little friend. See you all then! Buh-bye!
