suzumebachi — a kinetic yuri visual novel

a few false starts (stories that I didn't really like)

trying to figure out how to draw (figuring out that it kind of works if you just spend a lot of time on it)

refining a simple idea into something hopefully cute and with a bit of character development (I think it's cute, at least)

and there, a visual novel, far from the first thing I've made but the first one that's now out there

the frame-by-frame animating — characters looking elsewhere in embarrassment, scowling, pursing lips, scrunching eyebrows at every new line of text — was an interesting idea, and what motivated me to finish, but goodness it was a needless amount of work

(people mostly read visual novels, no? even so, if you glance up from the text sometimes and find an expression that makes you laugh, that's what I was hoping for while adjusting everything to such a ridiculous level)

the music evolved everything? a ping-ponging of creativity — write, send, get music, listen, edit, send, get music edits, edit again etc...

if you check this story out, I'm flattered; thank you
