Backwards Compatibility

Backwards Compatibility: 'The Art of Conservation...'
I find myself frustrated, because today MS (and many others) no longer cares about this!

When I succeed, I would join those who continue to remind the world about ASCII Art. More specifically, 'Code Page 437' artistry.

And yet, CP437 NO LONGER EXISTS! I know this for fact, because I am trying. What I've created works perfectly in MS-DOS. It works in W3.1, W95, and W98. It still works in WXP and W7 (because Vista never should have been released and you knew it, 'Short Horn'...)

But...now...thank you so much W8/(9)/10/11 for your backwards compatibility! Challenge...accepted!

I can't tell you how much I will enjoy the feeling when I release my next CP437 game, Redmond! Even when I do, corp-rats don't care enough to listen, and don't listen enough to care. I learned that much from the Short Horn himself.

To be clear, I have also refused to learn some lessons. My code is benign. And it always will be!

And I will also never be guilty of a NDA breach.

I've said enough for today.
Me := (caffeine + coding)
