I'm making this post to make two announcements, first to remind you that I'm still alive, and second to announce my new project: The Night of the Inquisitor. The game has been in development since December, and we're very close to finishing it.
Emilia has been calling her mother for several days, but she's not answering the phone, so she decides to go visit her. Upon arrival, she finds that her mother is nowhere to be found... However there is a mysterious jewelry box with a strange looking rosary inside. When Emilia touches the rosary, it breaks and unleashes a curse on Emilia: The curse of the Inquisitor. Now Emilia is being chased by the Inquisitor, a supernatural being who protects the cursed rosary.
Due to the curse, Emilia can see the ghosts of the Inquisitor's previous victims. She must help the ghosts in order to get items or clues about her missing mother and on how to break the curse of the Inquisitor.
The game features a third person Fixed Camera Angle perspective, like old school survival horror games. It is dialogue and puzzle driven with several endings depending on what you're doing. I wanted to make something short but replayable, the kind of game that I personally like to play now days (with the exception of Resident Evil 4 Remake).
It features a few more mechanics apart from just dialogue and puzzles. The Inquisitor for instance is unkillable, but you can stop him for a short time if you throw a Jar at him. You can also hide from him under certain places like cars.
The other interesting feature is the Ghosts. You're meant to talk to them in order to help them solve their issues but they will attack you at first glance. To solve this you have to light a candle first to STOP the ghost from attacking you. This will allow you to talk to the spirit and start to find a way to free its soul.
There's also a few different ghosts designs, but you'll have to wait to see them, since I'm still working on them.
Lastly I'm happy to announce that the game will also be released on Steam, so stay tuned. Remember you can follow me on my socials here:
