Pixelsnorf's Assets Announcement!

Brief Announcement Regarding My Assets

To all my followers, and any others reading this post,

This announcement is a bit of a good news, bad news post, but I believe that this is overall good news for anyone who has enjoyed my pixel-art assets so far. The bad news is that I have decided that I will be stopping the final planned release of the Pix-Quest series, which was supposed to be Pix-Quest NPCs. This is due to the fact that I feel I've outgrown the art style and limitations of the palette I began working with when starting Pix-Quest. Furthermore, I believe that working on adjusting a few of my stylistic decisions in previous assets may not be worth the time. However, let's move on to the good news!

The Good News

There is quite some good news to this. Firstly, this will allow me to free up time and focus on creating new and interesting game assets which go beyond the Pix-Quest Series. I have noticed a lot of gaps in the offerings of game assets on itch.io, and therefore would like to create assets which will not only be utilized for people's creative projects, but also which add value to this site. Secondly, I will be slowly making the full versions of all Pix-Quest Asset packs free and in a format I think is suitable when I have the time to do so. I want to do a bit more than just remove the price tag, so this may take a while longer. Thirdly, I am still happy to add on assets to the existing Pix-Quest assets, and will gladly due so in the case that someone requests something specific.

If you have any suggestions for future assets, I highly encourage you to message me on Mastodon or send me a message via email. If you have purchased one of these asset packs, I unfortunately don't believe that it is possible to do a refund via itch.io. However, I would like to ensure that you are able to receive equal purchase value on any future paid assets I make. To redeem this or send me any suggestions or requests via email, please contact me at pixelsnorf@proton.me

Thank you for all of your support so far, and I hope to hear from you!
