10/04/2023 - Update

Hi!

Last week, I reprised the profile artworks which were on hold for "UP!", effectively finishing Liana's profile image. You can check out all of them here.

Surprisingly, through the art of vomit writing, I unblocked the writer's block that has been plaguing me for EP2. Most likely, I need a proper organized approached for the rest of project going forward. Meaning, outlining each episode and being as minimal of a pantser as I can be, or just find the right balance between pantser and plotter. Reading up different techniques and methods certainly has been helpful.

On top of that, I have slowly set up the page for UAR. For now, my only issue lies with how I will manage the different variables I wish to implement in it. If you have noticed in Lamplight, the story proceeds linearly, presenting only two instances of choices that changes the narrative without drastic consequences. UAR will be a learning curve for me in this case, particularly because so far I have been making my own variables for the gender and pronoun options using my experience with Ren'Py and Twine. Then again, submitting UAR for Amare Game Festival is the least of my priorities.

Moving on, if you've seen my latest ko-fi post, wallpaper backgrounds will be unavailable indefinitely as a ko-fi reward until further notice. Early game access will continue to be accessible for both monthly and one-time supporter. Considering ko-fi has yet to add a pinned post feature, I will personally give the link directory I've compiled in one place last week.

That's all for this week.

– S. H.

PS. ko-fi commission first's batch sale is ongoing until the slots are filled up. Discount code is [CHERRY65].
