Red Genie Demo Talk!

So tomorrow is the day I release the demo for Red Genie: An Eidola Tale. The demo will include the beginning of the game as it is, and an optional area later in the game called Sanitorus Island. This is so the tutorial of the game can be thoroughly tested and ran through by the players, giving me a better understanding as to how well this section works to teach the player. The area for the second portion of the demo is to see how players like the combat at a higher level, and to gauge the interest in the combat with higher level equipment.


The optional area used for the second half is also a bit of a funny story, as I specifically designed it after I determined I would make the demo. Needing a place that the players could be placed at without being story-relevant was important; so I decided to design an optional quest that takes players somewhere that is sequestered away from the rest of the game. The enemies, music, and assets are also far ahead in the development process in this area and the beginning so it was a good choice.


Well, I still need to work ahead hard on the finishing touches. The demo should be live here on itch io by 11AM EST, barring any major delays or disturbances!
