QBugs? no! QBots!

Okay, Two things I would like to announce for today.
1. Quasi-failed attempt at implementing gamepad controls to QBots 0.8.2 (If you own Xbox, PS4 or a generic USB controller you can help with this project! Write me! )

2. Success in patching one important part of the game.

First things first so I am going to begin with nr 2.
2. In the GameJam version of QBots(0.8) that you can play atm, there are plenty of bugs or unfinished features.
One being that you collect parts of Judy, the pink digital female you see on the right side of the screen lying on an egg-like elipsoid.

The purpose of the game is to collect Judy parts and then bind her pieces together using the golden material you collect from QBots you killed.
Gathering the material was working fine (although it wasn't enough to finish the game), collecting parts was also working BUT, the representation on the screen did not reflect those parts that you have collected.
You found a leg, and torso and a head appeared and so forth. so...
Today I fixed it. (Pics added)
Both collecting parts, and fusing them together with the golden material work perfectly well in the 0.8.2 update. Of course the update does not count for the GameJam, so the bug-free version will be playable after the GameJam.
If you like the idea behind this game, please follow me so you can have a chance to play it once it is done. Also If you would like to participate in creative process, please write me, I am very opened for some interesting collaboration, if this project strikes your attention and you have some crazy idea, I do not promise anything less or more, than I will take it into account.

I promise, the game, even when fully functioning and  polished will be free to play. And free to copy and modify.
That's the way of LinuxRant. (LinuxRant will accept donations in the future, I hate paperwork)

1. Gamepad controls in GDevelop are... weird... Why I failed and why I succeded with gamepad controls in QBots?

Here's the story...
I have a generic gamepad. I thought it would be a good thing to use when implementing gamepad controls for QBots. Because most of people (I presume) that do not use Xbox or PS4 use some kind of standardized generic gamepad for usb... Long story short, GDevelop does not detect mine, Silver-Streak from Gdevelop Discord was very helpful in understanding that. So I cannot use my generic gamepad to test my gamepad controls I build for QBots.
Here comes a chance where you can participate if you like. QBots needs someone with a controller to test the new 0.8.2 (and later) update.
which controls work and which don't. that's it. If you want to help, you are more than welcome to help. Just contact me. I cannot offer any reward for now other than adding you to the credits, and maybe sharing some of the spoils when they come.

I'm gonna share one thing about how I even wanted to make QBots. One major reason for it was that I wanted to make a Dungeon Crawler, that you can play like a console fighting game. Like Mortal Kombat. and this is the aim I am striving towards. That it is both an action game, and a relaxing game, where you can sit back with your controller in your hands, and playthrough through the story and kill some badguys in one or two evenings, and later on maybe invite some friends to play it. I also plan on making total conversions of QBots. I have a different kind of game planned that will use the same mechanics once QBots will be improved.
Thats it for now. Hope I wasn't boring you with too much letters.
Have a good day, friend.
