Players, fans, etc. should all join especially if you are interested in seeing more behind the curtain of game development. I sometimes feel like I am spamming if I post a bunch of updates on social media so I think it will be nice to have a space where people can check-in when they are curious and I can always know people are interested in what I'm posting. I also get questions from people who get stuck in my games on all sorts of different platforms like itch comments, instagram, etc. so I plan to pin some of the most common answers so people can use the Discord like a FAQ as well. In the future I'll be referring questions about my games to this server.

Here's what I plan to use this Discord for: 

• Inviting people to beta-test games before they are released. I am planning to have a higher tier of trusted testers for people who provide me with substantial/useful feedback after receiving a rom. These testers will receive more access to beta builds of games.
• Updating people on WIP games, prototypes, or general devlogs
• Helping people who get stuck or encounter a bug in one of my games
• Allowing players to help each other and discuss tips, tricks and stories from the games
• Chatting about games / recommendations / game design philosophy
• I will only do an @everyone post when I am announcing a new game for the first time or announcing that a game is up for sale. Other than that, I will not send universal notifications except in case of emergency

The first exclusive insider content that will be available to users will be a test rom of our upcoming game Unearthed. The jam version was the winner of the #GBCompo21 jam but ever since we have been working on an expanded version of the game with more levels, mechanics, worlds, and story. The story will follow the same arc as the Jam version but will be expanded to show what happens after the game.
