Hello and Happy New Year!

2022 was quite a year. Tofu Sheets Visual celebrated its 10 year anniversary on March 20th, and whilst I didn't get much dev work done as I have liked, looking back at everything--I got more accomplished than I realized. Here's to a more productive 2023 as I continue to finally work through all my WiPs! The list has wittled down a lot since, and soon it will wittle down even further. But we're not here for the 2023 dev schedule, let's take a look at all the projects and major updates released in 2022!

February 16

Created for the Lone Wolf TTRPG Jam! And has officially beaten out Ballad of a Desperate Hero as my most popular TTRPG. It currently has 356 downloads and 4 ratings averaging 5 stars.

A wholesome kinetic novel about 2 basically siblings, originally released in 2021, but finally updated with voice acting! It currently has 34 downloads and 0 ratings.

March 17

Our 2021 SBIG Jam entry's long awaited update, fixing errors, adding achievements, and ability to turn off the RNG (if you get all 6 achievements). It currently has 71 downloads and 2 ratings averaging 4 and a half stars.

May 10

As part of the 10 year anniversary of Tofu Sheets Visual, this was the first of some really old files important to my dev history I was releasing. Now this wasn't really a game--and was even before I discovered Ren'Py. I was trying to make my own "Choose Your Own Adventure" Book, and this was originally written in a WordPad document back in late 2008/early 2009. To make it more coherent, I threw the script in Twine as I felt that'd be the best way to present it. I consider it important to my dev journey as, once upon a time when I first discovered Ren'Py, I was working on making this into a visual novel. It currently has 6 downloads (how???), 119 browser plays, and 2 ratings averaging 5 stars.

June 1

A submission to the Light in the Darkness TTRPG Jam. I based this on idea on something my teacher did back in 1st grade, where every kid was picked as the star of the week and we'd get a stapled book full of one nice comment from all the other students saying what they like about you. I never forgot that and thought it'd make a cute TTRPG for fictional characters or even used as a gift for a friend! It currently has 21 downloads and 0 ratings. 

June 15

Part of the 10 year anniversary celebration, the unfinished comedic visual novel that includes prologue only--something silly I was working on back in 2013. I actually feel sad I never finished this because some of the comedy in here is gold lol. It currently has 7 downloads and 0 ratings.

June 17

I had written this story originally in 2021 as a gift for a friend of mine who loves cats. The original PDF with pictures is included as a download, but the browser version is just a text adventure made in Twine. It currently has 16 downloads, 164 browser plays, and 5 ratings averaging 4.8 stars.

June 20

A short story I wrote for a friend for a writing trade, and decided to share it with Twine. It currently has 4 downloads, 44 browser plays, and ratings averaging 5 stars.

More 10 year anniversary celebration, this time sharing the original, unfinished version of "An Encounter ~In The Rain~" from back in 2013. It currently has 10 downloads and 0 ratings.

June 29

Released for Otome Jam! The first in my friend's birthday anthology of unrelated visual novels (what a late present!) Fully voice acted, and officially part of El.Seth's BB Series. It currently has 221 downloads and 4 ratings averaging 5 stars.

July 2

I really need to get to posting the rest of the chapters for this. I was experimenting with the idea of using Twine to post linear stories on a weekly basis. This story was originally a concept written as a novel for the Makestar Web Series contest back in 2018. It didn't win but I was happy that I was finally able to write this story, because it was an idea in my head for a long time but I didn't know what format to present it as. It currently has 94 browser plays and 1 rating averaging 5 stars.

July 26

Just out of the blue, O2A2 Jam 2022 was running and I made this in like a day. And because fandiscs for existing projects were allowed, I decided to show a little love to my still most popular game, The Only One Girl. I also had a lot of writer's block during this time, so making this short little piece really helped me with that, and it was a lot of fun to write for these characters after so many years. It has 68 downloads and 3 ratings averaging 4.7 stars.

August 14

A collaboration with my brother! A DOOM Total Conversion, Map 1, so it's a demo but we plan to finish it next year. Finally, I managed to release my 1st  first person shooter, my dream has been achieved lol. Yes, there's voice acting in here too and it's hilarious lol. Ranked 16 out of 42 entries in SBIG Jam 2022. It currently has 45 downloads and 0 ratings. 

November 18

One of my best releases of the year next to "Chance It!". A demo for the second VN in my friend's birthday anthology of unrelated VNs. It was released for Bishoujo Jam and contains voice acting on select scenes. We hope to release the full version sometime in 2023!  It currently has 25 downloads and 0 ratings.

And that's a wrap! Wow. I still wish I was more productive, but this is enough. I have a lot of plans for more of my WiPs in 2023 and maybe a couple of new projects if time allows, but WiPs take priority. I look forward to what the New Year brings!
