Character Design

Say hello to Aarathi, the main character of the solarpunk RPG game I am creating! 😊

Something that I like to do is draw “poses” of characters, so I get an idea of their general skeletal structure and “attitude”. For each pose, I often like to attribute it to something the character might feel or do in the game, such being confused or making a declaration, and then I write small comments above these poses just to give myself a reminder if I revisit them!

However, the main thing that I wanted to show is that a lot of times, my sketches don’t end up looking like my final character at all, especially in terms of proportion!

Iteration can be drastic, amirite? :)
