How’s everyone doing? I hope you’re all doing very well!

As you know, over the past few months we have published certain plugins on Steam, which is good news for many of you, since you can get them much more quickly and directly through the official Gotcha Gotcha Games page.

The downside is that we have no control over what happens there. In other words, we cannot see statistics or specific information about the plugin, since that information is managed exclusively by GGG.

The bigger issue comes when we update the plugins, since we cannot update that content as directly as we do through Itch.io. It depends entirely on GGG processing and verifying the update.

That is why, to solve this issue, we are offering you a solution: Give you access to the plugin on Itch.io.

To do this, we have designed a small browser extension that will allow our platform to detect whether you do indeed have access to the plugin on your Steam account. If applicable, you will then be able to link your Itch.io account and download the updated plugin just as if you had purchased the product through Itch.io.

We have to do it this way because we do not have access to the developer API for our plugins’ Steam page. Unfortunately, GGG does not provide us with this information for security reasons, which made the proper process of doing this the way it should really be done a bit more complicated.

So, in conclusion:

If you bought our plugins on Steam, you can now also request access to that plugin on Itch.io.

Download the browser extension and install it manually.

For now, this is the only method I can offer until Google approves the extension in the Store.
