🧠 Looking for Godot Physics Programmers to Join Our Team!

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m currently developing an ambitious 3D game in Godot — inspired by Minecraft-like sandbox gameplay, but with a unique world system that doesn’t rely on cubes. Our focus is on smooth terrain, environmental interaction, and realistic-yet-stylized physics.

We’re looking for skilled Godot programmers (or learners passionate about physics and systems programming) to help us build and refine custom physics mechanics — things like:

  • Terrain collision and deformation

  • Object physics (floating, falling, sliding, etc.)

  • Water and fluid-like behavior

  • Player-world interaction (grappling, climbing, gliding, etc.)

💡 What We’re Building

The project is a sandbox adventure game set in a massive procedural world — think “open skies and fractured islands” with exploration, survival, and creativity as its core. It’s still early in development, but we already have world generation, terrain shaping, and some early gameplay systems working.

🎮 What We’re Using

  • Engine: Godot 4.x (GDScript)

  • Version control: Git / GitHub

  • Communication: Discord

  • Team roles open:

    • Physics Programmer

    • Gameplay Programmer

    • Tech Artist (optional)

🚀 You’d Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Know your way around Godot’s physics system (RigidBody3D, CharacterBody3D, Area3D, etc.)

  • Enjoy experimenting with mechanics and problem-solving

  • Like collaborating with a small, passionate team

  • Can dedicate a few hours a week

💬 How to Join

If this sounds like something you’d love to be part of, drop a comment below or message me directly here on Itch.io!
You can also share your Discord tag, portfolio, or previous work — we’d love to chat.

Let’s build something amazing together. 🌍⚙️
