So you may be wondering why I didn't get a devlog done for the previous month of August. The short of it was that I spent a good portion of August doing some edits and tweaks to Upsetti Spaghettification because I wasn't 100% happy with what was published for O2A2 2025. After publishing the 1.1 update, I was hoping to get a postmortem out for it as August's devlog, but turns out it's pretty dang hard for this one! Considering the game came out right after a pretty terrible event in my life, it's been a little hard to write and publish it. The postmortem will come in time, but considering how tiring this month has been (for both good and not good reasons), it seems like other things will come out first after a moment of rest.

In the beginnings of September, I wanted to participate in Velox Fabula 3 and initially got a short story written up for it. However, I underestimated how much that week in particular would kick my ass so I never got to draw or code it in time. I have admittedly lost steam on getting it published sooner than later, since I kinda want to bake that story a little more. Don't worry though, it's not abandoned and you'll see the short story crop up elsewhere in the distant future.

Since then, the rest of this month has been spent being either pretty tired or doing some cleanup. I'm attempting de-Googlefying my digital workspace and have downloaded all my drafts and writings off of gdocs, which was something I should have done a long time ago since I don't have offline versions of some documents. It also needed a deep clean since I wasn't very good at deleting/cleaning after I finished a project lmao, so I have them all in a neat little file I'm sorting though at the moment. I've been currently using Ellipsus as a replacement and I honestly highly reccomend it as an alternative to gdocs.

Anyways, got files sorted and backed up (and this is a sign that you should also back up copies of your important files) and worked on some updates. I got an update released for Please Don’t Understand Me for better alt text and an option to make tts speak gibberish for those that need tts and want to experience the original intent of the VN. I'm also making a lot of headway with an update for Chimera Baloney, which not only will have better alt text but also an Android port for it as well. I'll also reupload the web build, which kept glitching out somehow, but the downloads still work so I figured I'll just upload a new web build with the new update so it can also be played on mobile devices. Hopefully I'll be able to release that update in October.

At the time of writing this devlog, I'm actually sick so I'm going to take it easy for the next few days as I recover. With the winter months approaching, that means I may be more sparse than usually due to my dayjob being more demanding in winter, so I'm definitely going to take it easy for now. But I shall continue to persist and create things.
